re-reading my manifesta, “why we need feminist blogs.” lots has changed since i first wrote that, but much remains the same.
how long have you been reading? how did you find it? what have i promised you that i still haven’t delivered? what have your favourite posts been?

looking at the 65 drafts sitting in my wordpress and wondering… which one should i polish up before i go away?
- fawning over flappers - a brief overview of why i am so obsessed with les garconnes and revisiting super important texts
- bathing suits as fear machines: why there is no such thing as “bathing suit season” (this is actually a draft from like 2010 because every summer i feel like it’s been done before, but i talk a lot about gender, body hair, body policing, fatness in this one)
- tattoos and cultural appropriation (gypsy is a slur, why do so many white people want tattoos of dreamcatchers or headdresses, etc.)
- a vintage lover’s conundrum: to buy, or not to buy repro vintage?
let me know which one you want to read most.
edited to add: i should note i plan on finishing ALL of these eventually but realistically i can only finish one before i leave for three weeks! so which one you think is best for june, right now.
