Musician, Muse, and my good friend, Chandra Melting-Tallows, of MOURNING COUP.

Her sound, like a breakneck-paced wunder starling. Her voice glitters raw with multidimensional narratives- a haunting fairytale emoting defiance and vulnerability.
A SPOTLIGHT on ‘Revolutions Per Minute’ showcases Chandra’s unique contribution to the native media art scene. She is vulnerable and courageous, and as a member of the Blackfoot community is active with Missing Justice Collective, as well as out spoken about her struggle with a debilitating seizure disorder.

she was so ahead of her time. you see her beautiful silver hair? here’s the story behind it:
“The signature silver hair came before she was to perform with famed dancer Josephine Baker. Bryant didn’t want to be outdone with one of Baker’s antics and dyed her hair with silver radiator paint. It wasn’t great for her hair but it worked wonders for her career.”
what a stylish fantastic babe.
