omg went to see shanghai express at the cinema today. i mean i love dietrich and all but seriously it’s like watching an alternate version of a movie where the focus has been shifted to one of the supporting characters instead of the main character. like idk marlene dietrich is sorta patching things up with a dude in a way where they are both being annoying and roundabout, while anna may wong is raped and then returns to kill her rapist who btw is the leader of the revolutionary army.
