colettesaintyves:

Decasia, Bill Morrison, 2002.

this triggered such a vivid memory. i remember when we screened this when i was director of the trent film society in 2007 and it was so entrancing… but at one point, it started getting even wierder, almost unwatchable. the screen would flicker black and brown, and got so dark at certain points we could barely make out the moving figures.
i forget who, but at one point someone realized this was not intentional. our projectionist (nick!) found that the cable plugging into the projector was slightly loose, adding digital distortion to an experimental film THAT IS ALL ABOUT DECAY AND DISTORTION. i think we laughed for a good 5 minutes before pressing play again, after having fixed the problem.
